CHASS Connect: About the Program
The national award winning CHASS Connect is a stimulating program exclusively for first year students in the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. The program invites students to engage in effective education practices, increasing their chances of success at the University of California, Riverside. Diversity, academic success, and social enrichment are emphasized. Students are enrolled in a year-long sequence consisting of high levels of interaction with faculty and graduate teaching assistance, focused and personalized advising, and an infrastructure of support on behalf of peer educators throughout their first year. Students in this program are launched on a trajectory of achievement that benefits them in college and beyond.
