CHASS Connect: Peer Educators

Peer EducatorThe CHASS Connect Peer Educators are students like you. They have done one thing which you have not done: completed their first year of college at the University of California, Riverside.

Each of our Peer Educators trains for ten weeks. They learn to help you feel at home on our campus. They provide you with the tools to develop communities of learners and to join other communities of learners. A community of learners is people like you who partner with other students, faculty and staff and learn with them, succeed with them, and become friends with them.

The Peer Educators know what it takes to be successful in college. Over the course of the year, they will teach you tricks to college life, new study skills, time management and what resources our campus provides for you to make the connections you need to be successful in college and beyond. You will also work in public speaking, major, and career development.

The CHASS Connect Peer Educators will help you navigate the academic and social byways of the University of California, Riverside and the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. They will help you successfully transition from high school to college.
