CHASS Transfer Pre-Mentorship Summer Program (PSP)

The CHASS Transfer Pre-Mentorship Summer Program (CHASS Transfer PSP) is a free, four-week experience designed to prepare prospective vertical transfer students for a successful transition to UCR. Facilitated by CHASS Transfers F1RST, this program provides personal development, essential skills, and valuable connections to support your academic journey.

Program Details

• Duration: 4 weeks (July 23 – August 14, 2025)
• Meetings: Twice a week (first and last sessions in person at UCR)
• Activities: Workshops, panels, mock lectures, personal development, and more
• Cohort Size: 15-20 Community College students
• Completion Benefits: Certificate of Completion for resumes and applications

Eligibility

• Currently enrolled in a Community College
• 18+ years old
• Strong interest in transferring to UCR
• No prior undergraduate degree

Program Requirements

• Attend all sessions
• Complete readings, assignments, and assessments
• Develop a Transfer Application Planner (TAP) Account
• Create a Vision Board & Reflective Journals
• Final Project: Autoethnography Project
